I know I’m only paraphrasing wise people who have already expressed it-  it’s true, though, and I want to put it down

It’s not what you do, but how much love you do it with that truly matters

I’ve been reading the catcher in the rye (I read some of it when I found it in the library in the eighth grade). Holden echoes this sentiment when he describes a virtuoso piano player as a snob who ruins the music by showing off, while he describes a kettle drummer later in the novel as the best because he cares so much about each beat.
